I run this site, and I'm the one responsible for any personal data it handles. If you have any question about anything on this page, email me at hello@darlng.com.

What I collect

Your email address, and only if you hand it over through the newsletter signup. Signup is double opt-in — you get a confirmation email, and nothing happens until you click it. Nothing else about you is collected: no name, no location, no account.

Why I'm allowed to hold it

Consent, given at that confirmation click. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email — that removes you, no reply or explanation needed.

Who else touches it

The newsletter runs on Listmonk, self-hosted on my own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (EU). Email delivery goes through Resend Inc., configured to send from their EU region. Those are the only two processors.

No cookies, no analytics, no tracking

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you across pages or sites.

Embeds and links out

The video on this site does not load until you click play — it uses youtube-nocookie.com, so nothing reaches Google until that click, and once you click you are connected to YouTube/Google under their own privacy policy. The streaming and social buttons are links to third-party platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok); once you follow one you are on their site under their policy, not this one.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction of it, erasure of it, a portable copy of it, you can object to its processing, you can withdraw consent, and you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority. All of the first six happen by emailing hello@darlng.com.

How long I keep it

Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask me to erase it; after that it's gone.
